The new booster water pump features a revolutionary design that eliminates belts and pulleys. This provides greater reliability of service and requires less maintenance, which means less down time and more cost efficiency. Yet it still produces considerably more pumping power, which means it can be located up to a mile away from the work site. This helps keep the work site free of equipment, which allows for greater mobility and increased safety. At the same time, the pump’s capacity to deliver a consistent pressure to the cutter produces an even spray that improves control over dust. This creates a cleaner atmosphere for improved breathing and visibility.

The two motors are controlled by two variable speed drives that can adjust the speed of each pump to only use the horsepower required for the sprays that are turned on for the fairways. If only a few sprays are needed, such a cooling the greens on a very hot days, only one drive will come on and run just fast enough to accomplish the irrigation needed. With other systems with flow control valves, the motors would have a direct effect on the utility bill.
